Kiranada Sterling Benjamin Retrospective Catalogue, 2011

Announcing a new 24- page catalog of Kiranada’s fiber art including eighteen pages of brilliant color photographs of scrolls, kimono, layered hangings and framed wax-resist artwork on silk produced over a twenty year span. The volume focuses on recent work produced during winter studio in Bali, but also includes favorite pieces from time in Japan, collaborations with Luanne Rimel and the Kesa Project of 2000. Also included are Reflections on this contemporary work by museum owner Agung Rai, and Yusuke Tange and Keijin Ihaya of Japan as well as a two-page essay on “A Contemplative Life in Art.”
